When staying here, you are actually in the heart of the Catskill Park Reserve. You’ll experience nature at it best, beauty just outside your doorstep, as nature calls out to share with you its bountiful forest and pastures.    There is something for everyone just waiting to be discovered.

The area features many restaurants and shops just minutes away.  Some within walking distance (one and a quarter miles), should you want to give up, the luxury of transportation for the quite sounds and views that you would otherwise miss behind the wheel.

 You want activities, let’s start with those that are free and plentiful.  There are numerous trails and hiking paths throughout the Catskills.  From beginners, to the most experienced.  There are trails that will take your breath away.   Also available are the trail guides (fee based) to help you make your way around should you want the company, or peace of mind. The Catskill’s have the famous 16 peaks that some serious hikers just have to complete.

For the kids there are the world’s largest kaleidoscope, horseback riding or riding the rails, tubing the Esopus. For those who need much more adventure there’s canoeing and kayaking and mountain climbing and let’s not forget our famous ski resorts also just minutes away.  Hunter and Belleayre,  just to name a couple.  Whether its downhill skiing or snowboard, cross-country or snowmobiling.  We also have many golf courses nearby and soon to be more.

Lets not forget those that just want the peace and quiet of our immediate surrounding (a hundred plus acres).  Bring your present favorite book or read one of ours.  Curl up in front of a fireplace or read on the deck.  If nature interrupts, due to the local wild life don’t be alarmed.  They are just as curious about our habits as we are about theirs.  We’re sure there’s an activity, just waiting for you.
